It has been created with the aim of improving the marine ecosystem off the coast of the Beach of Lighthouse in association with the Department of Harbor Engineering. The reef preserves and enhances the marine ecosystem and prevents shoreline erosion.

 

6. Scuba Diving in Kovalam

For this breathtaking experience of diving, you don’t have to be a swimmer. A proper training session and a safety demonstration will be given by the dive trainer. There will be a few opportunities for underwater photography that you can recall for the rest of your life.

 

7. Veli Tourist Village

How to reach Kovalam

 

By Air: Thiruvananthapuram’s Trivandrum International Airport is 15 km from town. Tourists can easily reach the city using private cabs and public transportation.

 

By Rail: You have to reach Trivandrum Central Railway (12 km from the city) if you are planning to take a train The city can be reached safely and conveniently with private cables or public transport. All the major cities in Kerala are perfectly linked by the railway station.

 

By way of the road: Kerala and Karnataka State transport from Kerala, Karnataka and the nearby states has luxurious and comfortable bus services. These busses are easily accessible for tourists to Kovalam at an affordable rate. From Bangalore and nearby cities, you can also drive.

 

Best Time to Visit

November to February – The best time to visit Kovalam is during the winter season if you’re looking for a warm, winter holiday. During the season, the minimum temperature is 16°C and the maximum temperature is 30°C. This is the summit of Kovalam’s visit.
