Manali is India’s leading Himachal Pradesh adventure destination. It’s an ideal place to spend time outside and many of these Manali sites represent the city’s numerous activities.

But many places to enjoy may be very dangerous, especially when the region is hit by extreme weather, like floods or natural disasters such as landslides. Before you start your drive to ready for anywhere in the country, make sure to check for weather and road conditions.

Solang Valley

Solang Valley is located about 30 minutes from Manali and both in winter and in the snow in summer attracts travelers.

The tourists drive the Gondola 1,3 km to the runs and ski and snowboarding from January to March are possible. After snow gets clear, paragliding is common. However, there are not good management and security problems (people have died in the past).

Many visitors to the Solang Valley choose to experience some culture by visiting Shiva Temple in the village. If you don’t want to walk up to it, you can ride a pony.

Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass is a day trip from Manali but it can be a challenge too heavy roads. Kullu Valley connects Lahaul valley and Himachal Pradesh’s Spiti valleys to resorts in Manali City for two to three hours.

The high altitude of around 4,000 meters also causes bad weather (13,000 meters). The main attraction on the Rohtang Pass is snow, especially when cleared from other areas. Unfortunately, waste management is low and visitor facilities cannot be accessed. The number of vehicles is limited, and a visit permit is required at least a day’s notice.

But snow sports are available when you go to the Rohtang Pass when snow is on the ground. The Igloo Temple on the Rohtang Pass can be stopped as well, with a spring that springs up into the Beas River.

Beas River

The powerful Beas River passes easily in Manali and offers a lot of open water fun. But even the best-experienced rafter can be very dangerous because of the rapid flow of the river, especially since snow melts in the spring and rises in water levels. In the period from March to April, tourists should avoid the river.

You are welcome to zip (flying fox) and raft it on a visit to the Beas River if you want more involvement. Many companies in Kullu Valley operate rafting rivers from Pirdi to Jhiri over 15 Km of rapids in Grade II and Grade III from near-Kullu town. The best rafting time is between the middle of April and June. Manali trips can be arranged comfortably.

Old Manali

Above the busy and chaotic city of Manali, you will find the relatively peaceful village of Old Manali with simple, traditional houses.

Old Manali is a relaxing tourist hub. Guesthouses, cafes, and stores, great for relaxing, and watching the world, border this path. According to Hindu mythology, the first man created by God was the sage, Manu. For the steep but panoramic trip, views are precious.

All in all, Old Manali provides the perfect place to holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life with a calm and soothing atmosphere, extraordinary nature delights and delicious delicacies. Adventurers can also live in Old Manali with activities such as river rappelling, or can simply rent a cab or scooter to explore unexplored areas of the city and discover fascinating fantasies such as the perfect spot for sunbathing. Remember to take your cameras with you, then!

Hadimba Temple

Stop along the Dungri forest to Old Manali’s Old Hadimba Temple (also known as Dhungri temple). The temple, a four-story pagoda, was built in 1553 and has a wooden arched facade. Bhima’s wife is devoted to her by the Hindu Epic Goddess Hadimba, the Mahabharata.

Added attractions, yak riding, and large fleeting Angora rabbits are ready for taking photos. Moreover, a 3-day temple festival, with visitors from around the country, is held every year in mid-May.

Manali Nature Park

Do you not walk through the large cedar trees that border the Beas River in the Manali Nature Park from Manali to Old Manali, if you wish to plunge into the natural environment?

The high trees in Manali Park are a thick shield from the outside that makes the park mysterious and mystical. Van Vihar Park, next to Manali City, is another similar park. After finally walking in the Nature Park of Manali, you want to explore this area’s natural beauty.
